Why?
➸ It’s generic and boring
➸ It doesn’t open the door to further discussion or insight
At most, you’ll get a “thanks” and maybe a like on the comment.
If you want to stand out, you need to engage meaningfully with your prospects’ content.
Here’s how to do it right:
𝟭. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗿𝗲𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁
If a prospect hasn’t posted in months, don’t engage with their old content.
Check their activity section to see if they’ve been commenting.
𝟮. 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁
If they’re not posting or commenting, interact with their company’s posts.
Use that in your outreach.
𝟯. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀
Make it count by sharing a thoughtful comment that’s at least three lines long.
Acknowledge the value you found in the post to boost their ego a bit when you eventually reach out.
Start adding value before you make the ask.
